Good luck with the new TNF blocker, Bertie! I have a horrible time of it too the day before a big storm (or even a middle-sized storm for that matter), but only when things are bad anyway. I have this vague theory that it's hormones first and weather second with me, but that doesn't always work either, and it's different for everyone. There are several posts about the weather on here somewhere, some with comments from others. I think you might find them if you do a search for the tag 'storm'.

Hi Polly,
I live in Northern Ontario, Canada and we do have a lot of snow! (probably obviously). The problem here with RA is the humidity, unfortunately. It wreaks a lot more havoc I find, on the RA. The spring and fall are the worst. My family call me the "family barometer" because I ache so bad the day before rain or a lot of humidity/climate changes. I'm wondering if anyone else notices this in certain areas the same way?
We recently took a trip to Phoenix, Arizona and the pain let up so much that I felt like I was in remission. If we could only move there, we would. I've had RA for 20 years now, and its getting progressively worse unfortunately including lungs and heart. Hopefully the new TNF blocker is going to work!
I'm going to check back often to see if anyone would like to add any experiences with weather. Thanks!

We had almost a complete thaw by Christmas day - almost, but not quite! Went for a rather slippery walk/skate on boxing day - icy underfoot but no snow on the fields - worst of both worlds! Other than that, fab Christmas hols so far! Hope everyone else can say the same. :o)

Merry Christmas, Polly! This year you've got more snow than we do in my bit of Canada. It poured rain all day!

Hope you're staying warm and cozy, and having a lovely holiday.

You know, that's the real issue with winter snow -- roads and slippery walks. If we could all just stay in and drink hot toddies, or only go out when we felt like for a snowball fight or to build snow dragons, snowy days would be totally delightful.

Oh, well. At least it was pretty. Glad you and yours are doing well, Polly.

It's been very pretty, but now I want to be able to go out again on foot and in the car without having to worry about slipping.
