A bit about me
My name is not Pollyanna and I'm not a penguin. If you'd not worked out the last bit you should probably stop reading this and seek out a psychologist.
This is a blog about me and rheumatoid arthritis - sounds like fun, huh? Well I'm hoping it'll be a bit more fun than it sounds - hence the Pollyanna part. I'm going to try to stay positive about it and play 'Pollyanna's glad game' - finding reasons to be cheerful basically.

Aw, Polly, I’m sorry you’re feeling so rough with this latest (bad) flare. It’s hard to be cheerful when you hurt all the time, I know, and harder still to be hopeful when the pain makes no sense. But that’s just how rheuma is; we can search for patterns, think maybe we’ve got it down and start to make changes, and then the pattern falls apart. There is no rhyme nor reason for rheuma.
I hope this latest flare will soon leave you — and give you a good, long break. Have you found suitable shoes for the wedding yet? If not, check out Sketchers. They make some decent casual/slightly dressy shoes that are quirky (read “fashionable”) and pretty darned comfortable. I got a pair a few weeks ago when my sister was visiting and have been pretty impressed with how they feel, given my picky feet. Feeling rather better today thanks … but alas, Skechers don’t post outside the US … and I would always want to try shoes on first anyway ’cause i have such fussy feet. ;o)
