That'll be healthcare reform modelled on the NHS then, will it? Good luck America!

Having a spiffing weekend thanks - there's a good word, spiffing, and one I haven't used in about twenty years! ;o) Will hopefully post about it some time.

How frustrating!
It DOES sound an awful lot like the way health insurance companies here deal with physical therapy, however. The doctor refers, then the insurance company decides if you go to not. If they say yes, then generally, you get six to twelve appointments. More than that needs another referral from the doc, which the insurance company decides upon again. If they say no, you can appeal, but of course valuable time waiting around for the appeals process to work is lost. For people in chronic pain who really need PT, it's an awful system. Hence, health care reform. And we'll see how that goes...

Meantime, I hope you're doing all right, PP, and that you're having a fine weekend. Cheerio!
