The lovely people at Hahnel (the tripod manufacturers) are sending me a replacement piece for the head! Hurrah! I hope it arrives soon and I hope I don’t make a botch of putting it on … perhaps I’ll be an unreconstructed feeble feminine penguin, dismally fail to “maintain my independence” and get hubby to do it!
