Definitely a question of a sudden thump, and yes I was amazingly lucky. It could easily have gone another way - including a broken arm which would have meant I couldn't work!

I think I already know the exercises - the same ones she gave me last time ... and I HAVE been using them ... OK, OK, so not regularly, more when I remember because it hurts, but still ... :-) But yes, I will definitely be keeping the appointment.

Oh I will DEFINITELY be keeping the appointment, Chelsea - you don't turn down physio appointments on the NHS - they're rare as hen's teeth! The acromoclavicular joints are much better but they're not 100%. Little silly things like using a pepper mill or stirring the dinner in the pan suddenly make it hurt!

Augh, falls happen SO fast, don't they? No chance to stop yourself, it's just slip and down, thump. As you said. Glad to hear that you weren't badly hurt, Polly. Falls like that can surely go the other way.

And as for the miraculous shoulder recovery: It's a good thing to see that therapist anyway. Perhaps he/she can teach you some good exercises to help KEEP the shoulder pain at bay. It will sure be easier to do them if you don't hurt...

Big hugs to you, Polly. I hope you continue to feel better!
