Roll on the weekend

You know it’s going to be a bad day when you wake up at 5:30 and need paracetamol, wake up enough to take them at 6:00, fall asleep around 6:59 when the alarm goes off at 7:00, and by 7:55 are working out (on your fingers because the brain doesn’t work yet) how long it is before you can take more painkillers!

Oh well, hopefully the next seven hours (just worked that out on my fingers again) will go by in a blur of work (we have too much of it at the moment) and then I’m meeting a friend for a nice, relaxing coffee in the quietest cafe in town for the start of my weekend.

  1. May your pain meds kick in big time, your fingers start to move and your weekend coffee clutch be the best! I love Fridates with family and friends…it really is a great way to lift one spirits.

  2. Here’s hoping that 7 hrs and your pain go by very quickly…. Let’s hope the coffee with your friend helps to distract you.. Sometimes that can be a big help..right now i think my bigge problem is just “plain” arthritis..stiff as a board and am walking like a penquin!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy your weekend!!! hugs Barbara /near Cape Cod, MA

  3. Nothing wrong with walking like a penguin!! Sorry you’re so stiff though – hope it wears off soon. I feel much better after the coffee and the hour-long chat, even though I was late because my knee gave out on the way there! Just VERY tired now!

  4. Fridates?! Good word. 🙂

  5. Glad you feel better. Have a good weekend.

  6. Thank you. Am now feeling a bit less better, unfortunately! Off for some more paracetamol!

  7. Hope you feel better by now. RA-related pain?

  8. Oh, I do hope you got through those seven hours without too much more pain, PP. And that your weekend has been, so far, pleasant, restful and painless. Sending a big gentle hug across the water to you.
